In my recent update in the Helen Plum Library Gazette, the Lombard Park District has requested I correct a statement made in the update. In my description of the proposal from the Park District it stated it contained a “zero-setback along Maple Street.” A proper description would have been “inadequate setback along Maple Street.”
The link below offers additional background regarding the proposal from the Park District, alternative approaches the library proposed, and how the Library Board concluded with our current design. The design is currently awaiting approval from the park board regarding the access drive so the plans can be submitted to village for approval.
